Wireless network signal strength

I've got a wireless network at home but some of my computers get a poor signal. What would be the cheapest way to boost the signal? I have a Linksys wrt54g router.

DD-WRT is free and allows you to increase the signal strength however you may want to use netstumbler to see where the dead spots are in the property first. The slightly more expensive option is a parabolic (blue peter style) or a purchased one (here's one I made earlier!). After that you're onto a better antenna again not that expensive.
