Not sure if I was clear enough in the title, but is there something I can use to receive a wireless network connection and then distribute it via ethernet? I have a router in one room and the rest of my AV/console/media kit in another one. The missus has forbidden the use of ethernet cabling to connect the two rooms and homeplugs are expensive/ineffective.

In summary, is there something that works like an ethernet switch, but that is able to receive a wireless signal?

Thanks

Run a cable, you'll be disappointed with wifi unless its only for very basic use that doesn't include gaming or streaming.
