Hi,
I have a new acer centrino laptop and was wondering how i could connect this to my pc. Main pc has a ntl broadband cable modem connected using usb port. I have a 8 way switch with a couple of pcs connected using the ethernet port on pc.

Is is possible to use a usb wifi adapter stick on the pc with ntl modem, to get internet access on my new laptop and then later buy a wireless router and adapters when i can afford it.

Any help would be appreciated.

tbh, i would advise getting the router now if possible as its a much more reliable way of doing things than going the way you specified. Agree totally with what tolien says.

router all the way IMO
