I'm going to be getting NTL cable in a week or so to replace my sketchy, noisy ADSL connection.
I've gone for a 4Mb connection and there are various things I want to do with it.
I plan to have a work PC in the same room as the router, a play/browsing PC in another room about 20 meters away through three brick walls, a Slim Squeezebox in a room directly beneath the router (through one set of floorboards) and another Slim Squeezebox in the room next to that one - i.e. through one set of floorboards and a brick wall.
In the future I'd like to add a multi-media PC, connected to my TV in the room directly beneath the router, as well as a laptop for roaming around the house with.
I know very little about networking, having only set up a two PC wired network with a Netgear router (very basic model) in the past, and know *nothing* about wireless gear.
I had my eye on this router:

Would this work ok for me? What additional gear would I need?
I know I need an adapter to pick up the signal on each machine - but assume I don't need one for the squeezeboxes.
What would be the best PCI adapters for my desktop machines and what would be the best adapter for a laptop (I haven't actually chosen a laptop yet)?
