Made ultimate noob mistake by assuming my new motherboard had built in wifi... it doesnt :p

Need a NIC, I want to be fast, very fast, and have the best signal reception as there are a few thick walls between my router (Home Hub 4 sadly...) and I.

There is a shiny ASUS one, £65... ouch! What's the difference between this one and a lower end one?

Any recommended ones? Or is it a case of buy a cheap one, there all about the same.

I have the ASUS 3*3 AC Wi-Fi integrated into my X99 mainboard and it’s very good, has good range and is fast. I also have the ASUS 2*2 AC Wi-Fi integrated into my Z97 mainboard and that is also very good, I get my max internet speed on both (152/12 Mb). ASUS do 3*3 and the 2*2 AC Wi-FI Pcie cards that should be the same as the one included with the mainboards, think the 2*2 AC one is about £45. The 3*3 one has much better range as I have used them both from the same place.
