I think this is the best section to put this in

I've been meaning to do this for a while. I want to connect my printer in the office to my computer in my bedroom.

I used a wired connection to the router currently. When i go to locate the printer on W7 i find it but it can't find some sort of driver

The odd thing is on my sisters laptop also W7 she is able to connect to the printer via her wireless. The pc with the printer connected to is running Windows XP.

It needs an .INF so
Any idea what i could do?

Thanks

Well my sisters laptop is using 32bit, of course so is the computer the printer is connected to. While i am on 64bit, but i still thought it would work.

I remember installing one of the drivers from the website onto the 64bit machine and tried then but it still didn't work. Will try again now. Unless im ment to install the drivers on the computer with the printer.

You should install the drivers on the machine hosting the printer for all the OSs that will use the printer. When you connect to it, it'll send the correct drivers to the client PC
