I have just loaded Vista on to my workshop PC and dual boot with XP.

Now XP connects wirelessly to my Linksys WRT54GS with no problems yet Vista doesn't seem to want to connect.

What's interesting is that I can connect to other peoples "Unsecured" connections with full access but not mine which is encryped. It accepts the keyphase, then comes back with limited or no connectivity. However, on trying once, it came back with "Local" connection only but I'm still unable to connect to shared folders on the home PC or the internet.

I've updated the with the recent Vista drivers.

Any idea or ideas?

Thanks.

I'm using the Vista wireless manager. It does appear to be a WEP 64 problem, so i'll test tonight as you describe and post back. Thanks.

The adaptor i'm using is the WUSB54GS v2.1 with the Vista driver from there download section.

Ok, still having problems:

I've changed to WEP 64 bit (from 128 bit) and still unable to connect. However it doesn't have any problem with unencypted but i do need the encyption.

Still works in XP (i have dual boot)

So I tried installing the installation software for the Linksys Adaptor, but it doesn't run. I'm assuming its not compatable.

I then checked the Linksys website for Drivers. I am using the correct drivers for the adoptor in Vista,??

I'm clueless?
