Wireless problem

I have a netgear dg834g v2 adsl wireless router.
However i do not seem to be connecting to my wireless network as all my devices have a problem connecting. Is there any way of testing whether the wireless is working??

the error that comes up is "the access point was not detected"

Have you definately got the access point enabled? Somewhere on the wireless settings page there should be an option to enable or disable the AP.

The other thing, is the box ticked to hide the SSID of the network? If it is then you'll need to setup the wireless connection on the PC manually as the AP won't be broadcasting the name of the wireless network.
