Wireless problem

Every 60 seconds (used stopwatch to time) I get a connection interruption of some sort. It last for maybe one second.

I am not sure exactly when this started, as it is not really noticeable when doing anything other than playing games - and have not played any network games for around a month now.

It is obviously the connection to my router, because I have set infinite pings to both the router and external site, and both show the interruption.

Its an Ralink PCI wireless card with the latest drivers connecting to a Netgear router.

Any ideas on what might be causing something like this?

Ok, I have reset my BIOS options to defaults in case anything in there was causing issues.... still the same.

I have shut down as many processes as I could to see if there was anything there causing the issue... still the same.

There is another PC connected to the same router here, which does not exhibit the problem, so it has to be the wireless pci card in this machine.

But what could cause this 1 second pause every 60 seconds?

Have tried removing the drivers and re-installing. What else can I possibly try?
