ive noticed the past week on speedtest that i havent been getting more that 1mbps on an 8mbps service where i have been getting 6.5mbps for the past 2 years.
so i had a look around today and i noticed this

ive tried changing the wireless channel, changing it from 802.11b/g to g,without firewall, both changing the channel and from b/g to g fixed it for 2-3 mins but then it just went back to actual speed 2mbps,where it used to be 30-40mbps,
anyone got any ideas?

sorry i was just about to post, its fixed,i mucked up a setting while trying to fix it,so i had to connect through an ethernet cable to return the settings to normal and when i returned the router downstairs it was working again, holds 36mbps steady even jumps to 48 now an again,10 mins working and counting*fingers crossed*

and just for good measure no, no wireless basestations around

ooh sorry,i was sure i made this post, anyway here goes again, its fixed,i mucked up the settings while trying to fix it and so had to connect with an ethernet cable to re apply the correct settings and when i returned the router downstairs it worked perfectly again,1 hours and 30 mins and counting*fingers crossed*,
