Hey,

I have a pc that is fairly close to the wireless router (Netgear 802.11g WG603) and there is no walls seperating the two. The PC with the Belkin card(802.11g) in it, picks up the network on maximum strength at 54mbps, no problems everythings fast. If i go away for a couple of hours then come back, the lights on the PCs network card have gone off and the networks gone, if i search for the network it dosnt detect it, however if i disable the connection and then re-enable it the lights come back on and i can connect to the network again. Im fairly sure it isnt a router problem as i have a laptop that uses the same router with no such problems. I am using the windows networking software rather than belkins, does anyone know why this could happen? Is there some kind of inactivity network cut off

Thanks for any help,
Jack

I cant find any specific power settings for the network card anywhere, and all the main power saving settings for the system are off.

EDIT: Just checked in the belkin manager, and the power saving is off.

I had a Belkin network card once, the same sort of thing would happen. it would find the network as soon as the pc was switched on and connect but after half an hour or so it would disconnect and not find network. I solved the problem by throwing the card in the bin and getting a new one :) , but some people have suggested using Ralink's drivers (the chipset manufacturer on most belkin cards), apparently its more reliable with these drivers although I never tried it myself.
