G'day,
At the moment I have a d link wireless thingy which is sending wireless broadband to my daughters laptop. The laptop has a network card in it.
Now we are getting rid of the laptop and she's having our pc instead as we are getting a new pc.
Basically I want to know if I'll need anything new as I don't see where the network card will go into on the pc!
I've seen the usb wireless adapters and am wondering if thats what I'll need.
I presume I'll be able to hook up the main wireless unit to the new pc but wondering what I'll need to connect it to the old pc now in my daughters room?
Cheers
Lee

you need a different kind of wireless card for the pc, a PCI wireless network card. or you can buy i usb wireless adaptor but they are a bit slower than pci models i think. Your laptop card is suitable for laptops only

The usb connection would not be the bottleneck in a wireless internet setup. You would not be able to tell the difference between a PCI wireless card and USB.

Get a USB one. Much easier to install, no need to open the PC up.
