Hey everyone

Currently i dont use a Wireless Router im still cabled, but i wanna switch out to one so i can use the laptop anywhere, but still have the cable for the main comp, my question is however, the house i live in is solid brick, is this going to cause a problem with wireless signal at all, when i asked in the store, the guy asked do you use wireless phones, i said yes, he said it will be fine, but i dunno,

Any help would be great, also is there 1 router better than another for wireless or are they all the same????

Thanks

Hi

Wireless should work but the only way to be certain is to get a router and see how it works in your house as all depends on not just the thickness of your walls but also how much other interference there is.

You could buy a router from a shop that offers a 14 - 28 refund policy and try the router if it works keep it if not then take it back for a refund.

But the only way you are going to know 100% is to try by either purchasing a wireless router or borrowing one from a friend.
