Yo,

I bought this yesterday, picked it up from OCUK
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=NW-028-TP&groupid=46&catid=1837

And set it all up, was pretty simple. However, it does the opposite of what i want. Instead of extending the signal, it's makes wireless unusable. It extends the range for a few seconds, then cuts the signal off for 1 minute, then resets itself, and does the same thing over and over.

Anyone have any experience? Is there a router setting i should be using to allow use of it?

Ive tried everything i can think of.

It's set up as a repeater, the IP range is correct, ive manually entered the routers MAC address correctly, all the SSID and password are correct, it's on the same channel as the wifi.

Nobody has any ideas?

Can i create a second SSID just for the extender, on a seperate channel? Or will it still fight with that one?

The extender I have needs the same SSID and channel when in wireless repeater mode but when wired to the router it can quite happily make its own access point with different channel and SSID.

Mine always worked just fine though when on repeater mode. I placed it roughly half way between the dead spot and the router.

I had the Tp-link something with RE on the end of its model number.

Annoying, but i ran 15m of Cat5 under the skirting and made it an Access Point with a seperate SSID. Oh well. Cheers.
