Wireless range problem....

Hello,

We have Sky BB in our house and 2 wireless laptops.

My laptop can get a good signal all over (acer laptop)

My brothers laptop (advent) carnt get a signal in his room but is fine every where else.

Can anyone suggest why this is ? seems strange to me.

What could be causing this ? needs an updated driver ? a program running is causing problems ?

I have found that some computers do not get signals in certain places.

For example my desktop PC is on a RaLink Wireless PCI Card with dongle and it picks up my wireless signal perfectly and my laptop with a SafeCom PCMCIA Wireless card only just picks it up in the same spot.
