Wireless Receiver for windows sync problem

I got the wireless receiver for windows today to use my wheel on the pc. However i press the connect button on the receiver and then the connect button on the wheel and it does not connect, the four lights just flash on and off whilst the receiver lights are solid green. The same thing happens with a wireless pad too.

I've tried the v1.0 drivers which came on the disc and also upgraded to the v1.1 drivers with the same problem, any idea what could be going wrong?

It seems there is a conflict with my keyboard (Saitek pro gamers keyboard), seems to create problems with everything this keyboard the hunk of junk, going trade it for my sisters banger. Anyway the receiver works but only when i unplug the keyboard
