wireless repeater confusion :S

Hey..!

I have an I.p camera in my garage and the wireless signal isnt strong enough to reach the wireless router upstairs (where the server and eveything is connected)

I have another router which I could place downstairs, but which one should be the base station and which one the repeater?

Surely the one for the internet will be left acting as your fully fledged router. Whilst the spare router assuming you can turn off the DHCP and other router features.

You're assuming either router even support being used as a repeater. In the absence of, y'know, a model number or something it's hard to tell.

Well I'm not that stupid to try and do it to routers that can't do it.

Think I have it sorted now anyway....with the 834 being the repeater
