Right, I have a standard home wireless network / ADSL connection setup, now I have just bought a original Xbox and want to connect it to my wireless network.

I know the easiest way is to purchase a wireless ethernet bridge however I have a spare wireless router sat around with 4 ethernet ports. The spare router I have is a Belkin F5D7630, so basically I want to use this router to connect my Xbox to my wireless network.

Anyone be able to tell me if this is possible?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

You don't need WDS to make it work as a bridge.
Can't find the manual for the F5D7630 on the Belkin site, but OpenWRT definitely should let you use it as a wireless bridge.

Tolien, can you elaborate some more please.

On what?
You're looking for an option to change the wireless bits in the router from being a wireless AP to being a wireless client. The wireless "card" and wired switch within the router will already be bridged.

Sorry being dense, was after a bit more clarification on what OpenWRT was, but after having a quick look around I can see now.

See norm's link - it's third party firmware. It might be an idea to see if the Belkin will do client-bridged mode with it's own firmware first.
