Will be living in an 8 (yes eight) person shared house for the next year of Uni, and the house is quite big.

It occured to me if everyone is connecting to a router with wires, it could get very messy very fast.

Would a wireless router be able to handle 8 connections?

Or, is there a completely different way of doing it that will work better?

We have 6 students connected wirelessly on a Linksys WRT54G in our house and it works fine. The Quality of Service feature on the DD-WRT firmware seems to keep the experience smooth and quick for everyone. Although the 10Mbit broadband connection could have something to do with that as well :p

File transfers are pretty slow though, its always quicker to take an iPod down to your housemates room!
