Hi guys,

Is it possible for me to use a wireless router and network switch as well? I have a 3 floor house. The router is on the middle floor and connected to a desktop pc a couple of rooms away via ethernet cable. There is another desktop upstairs that is also connected via ethernet...too many cables littering the house! Is it possible to buy network switches for each room and simply plug into phone sockets in each room?

Not being clear here I know, its baffling me a little bit! We don't want to use wireless cards because the walls in the house are thick and signal is very intermittent. I'm just looking for a solution to the mess of cables about the house!

Many thanks

Thanks for the reply, I havent heard of this solution before. Looks ideal! Seems to be faster than wireless and of course slower than hardwire. Will give it a go

but then there is still the cable problem! Just went to purple shirts and got some netgear switches, working grand...and more importantly, BC2 still plays a-ok so very happy. Thanks for the tips
