Wireless router to wireless router connection?

Hi guys,

currently I have this setup:

Computer Room upstairs
2 PCs & Server connected to a 4 port switch.
4 Port Switch connected to Netgear Homeplug

Living Room:
HTPC, Sonos connected to Netgear Router, along with Virgin Cable Modem.
Also using a Netgear Homeplug.

Unfortunately, all I'm getting across the homeplug connection is around 2Mbps - fine for file transfer, SD videos etc, but no good for HD videos.

I've got a spare wireless router gathering dust. Could I connect this to my 4 Port Switch upstairs (or replace the 4 port switch) and connect wirelessly to the Router downstairs, and therefore remove the poor Homeplug connection?

If I can do this ... how do I do it?

Right ... I'll check the manuals ...
