I'm currently using a D-link DGL-4300 router. For cable use it seems just fine, but the wireless has just too short range. The router is located in second floor and from first floor the signal is faint and I get bashed out all the time. Now I need a suggestion for a new router with better range and wireless options. Any ideas?

I have seen wireless range extenders around on the net, maybe ocuk sell them, if not just google it.

You can also look at purchasing replacement ariels for the router which have a higher output which will increase the range.

Have you tried changing the channel the wireless is working on ? if not then try this first especially if you are have got other wireless networks in range.

The other alternative is to look at the power line adapters these work pretty well.
