Looking to choose between these two for my pc to mainly play Toca race driver 3 (and Dirt at some point)

Would I be right in saying the xbox 360 pad has analogue triggers whilst the Logitech rumblepad 2 doesn't, and the rumlbepad has forcefeedback but the xbox 360 pad doesnt support ff for pc's

I also have a logitech wireless keyboard and mouse set up, and cordless phone. Which would be less likely to interfere if it's possible to answer that.

Thanks

ff works on my 360 controler (wired). went off while i was playing crysis and i was like wtf is that and realised my pad was plugged in and rumbling :)

Yeah it works on the 360 wireless one but obviously eats up battery life.

Also a little buggy and sometimes just stops working.

yea 360rumble works wireless on pc. cant remember what it worked on for me but i **** myself cos it just started goin off one day, hadnt realised id left pad on. think it was crysis MP beta lol

no, you need to buy the 'crossfire' receiver.
it can be had for between £10-£15 from most etailers, its an official one.

I got mine from a tastey potato fast food product shop for £32 in a pack with an official wireless controller quite a while ago, only so cheap because some nugget bought it and didnt have any USB ports on his pc, so it was opened and classed as B-grade :D

Right. I meant the controller for the pc not the 360. COme to think of it surely they have to ship the pc version with a receiver otherwise it's useless The one on this site has a receiver.

the controllers are exactly the same.

All wired ones connect without needing anything else, as they are USB.

The above link is what you want, Decent price really too, since ** not paying anything more for the receiver which alone costs over £10 :p

1 Receiver will work with up to 4 360 pads, and syncing them with it a case of pressing a button on the pad and a button on the receiver.

Buy what i linked you to, and then after that you can just buy the wireless pads on their own, since the receiver is just infact a wireless USB hub for the pads.

Well that one's gone now. Last one. Found some on Amazon for Windows. Cant fot the life of me figure out whether you get the revevier or not? Anybody know?

look really its not rocket science, just look for 360 pads and then look for the wireless receiver mate. Amazon as far as i can tell dont do the bundle, iv just done a quick search.
Maybes try the evil purple GAME specialist, even the 3 letter purple rip off shop too.
Just have a browse, it will say if its got the receiver, its called crossfire, or just search for 360 PC receiver on the sites, thats what iv just done on amazon. Its saying £42 for the 2 bundled on amazon, absolute rip off tbh.

Iv'e just received my 360 controller and receiver pack from OcUK 10mins ago , works fine, but i defo need to tweak it for DiRT as the steering is awful ie press left analogue and it shoots to far left even with the slightest degree of pressure

ff on the 360 pad only works on certain titles. Dirt works fine but TOCA 3 doesn't unless you use the xbcd drivers (which then stops dirt from working).

So you go out and buy a wireless controller, get it home and there's no receiver so you cant use it. That is a joke. Can you imagine if yiou did that with a wirelss keyboard and mouse. And thanks zytok fot the info on dirt and toca3. That's made my decision. Gonna get a logitech wireless rumblepad 2. Cheaper anyway.

Yes, but you're probably buying one aimed at the 360 market you doofus! :p

I've just ordered one of the receivers, it's a pretty good idea being able to use 360 controllers on your PC...
