Afternoon,
Someone has asked me to install a wireless AP as a favour, it's not something I normally get involved with but seems easy enough.
My main concern is that the site requires users to input a http proxy into their internet settings before being able to access the internet. This is mainly for filtering reasons.
I think I'm going to go for a Netgear ProSafe WNDAP350 as I've used the 330's before and it should do the job.
I'm looking for the best way for me to automatically give the user the proxy settings when they connect to the AP.
I don't want to have to be giving out the actual details or having to enter them for everybody as the nature of the location means they'll connect for 2 hours, and then go home and need the settings removing!
Ideally user would find the AP, connect and enter wireless password, AP / something would automatically force the PC to use the proxy settings, user would happily use the internet, disconnect and the users settings would be put back to how they were.
Any ideas? Also open to suggestions on the AP but the Netgear seems decent for the money.
