Hi guys just a quick question about networking.
Probably best to explain my previous network setup at my old house.
it consisted of a blueyonder cable modem connected to belkin 54g wireless and wired cable router downstairs, a long patch cable ran to my room up to a belkin gigabit switch that split the internet and connected my htpc and main pc with a gigabit connection. our laptops all connected to the downstairs wireless router.
now we have moved, my old man isnt up for more cable routing to my room, so now i need to come up with a solution of connecting my two wired pc's to the internet through the gigabit switch.
can I connect some sort of box to one of the ports on the gigabit switch in my room so it can connect to the router downstairs wirelessly and share the internet, basically not needing a long wire cable connecting the router to the gigabit switch. if belkin do a solution that would be great, not sure what I’m looking for tbh.
Cheers
