Hi

I am looking at installing a wireless speaker system in our laminating clean room. The room is approx 30m by 20m and I would like 6 speakers in there. The guys mainly listen to the radio and the current system is not suitable as one end of the room its really loud and at the the other its barely audible .

Anything you can recommend ?

Depends what the budget is, but you could either look at Sonos if it's higher, or maybe some Chromecast Audio's connected to cheaper sets of stereo speakers, if you're not looking to spend what Sonos gear costs.

Does it have to be wireless? It still needs power and the cost of speaker cable can be as low as pennies per meter. Plus you will be limited to what you can play on a wireless system.

What do you currently have powering the speakers you have? Id be tempted to get a pair of these and some cheap bell wire and plug both speakers into one channel eg if its a hifi/amp then use the left channel for one pair of speakers and the right channel for the second pair of speakers. Its a bit crude but for less than £60 for a factory Im sure it will be fine. You might even be able to run 3 speakers per channel but may be pushing it.

Alternate is to buy something like this and run multiple channels

Do a roof install if you're worried about wiring, being a factory I'm sure not having speakers clogging up shelves is a good thing.

As it's just radio, you don't need anything super high fidelity.

What kind of factory is it? With all sorts of industrial machines causing interference, wireless might be the worst solution.

It's an F1 Clean Room and has a sealed roof space so running cables is not really an option. Sound quality comes a close second to the ability to be totally wireless , well other than a power source.
Does the Sonos use a master speaker and the rest run off of it ?
