Wireless speakers - max budget £50

In what way do they need to be wireless. Completely wireless and portable, which will use a rechargeable battery? or speakers that will use mains power, but have a wireless (Bluetooth) connection to the source?

They can use mains power but want them to be wireless preferably. Otherwise if you don't know any then wired may be acceptable too.
 
OK. Just trying to get an idea of what exactly you re looking for. Completely wireless speakers are a lot more common, but it depends on how good you expect them to be. Good budget end ones don't really start until you get to £80. There are cheaper ones if you need a cheap portable speaker, but aren't likely to be as good. Mains powered speakers with Bluetooth are much less common, so much so, that the choice for around £50 is pretty slim indeed. For mains powered speakers, it would be better to use a Bluetooth receiver and add any speakers of choice, but this isn't ideal as that leaves little money for the speakers, which are arguably the more important part. You're probably looking at around £70-£80 for a Bluetooth receiver and enough money left for a set of decent speakers.
 
I wouldn't get wireless speakers (Bluetooth) unless I needed it/them to be portable. For solely home use, I'd grab a set of Edifier R1600T for £54, and if I needed to stream wirelessly to the speakers from a phone or tablet, I'd get a Bluetooth receiver. Logitech do one, and there are a few others for around £20.
