Hey all, I'm not sure if this is the right place for this post, so feel free to move it :).

Basically, I just got back from uni for the summer and quite happily set about hooking up my desktop to my wireles network at home. Its decided it doesn't like either of my USB adaptors (<sigh> Belkin </sigh> and <another sigh> an Orange proprietary one </another sigh>. it says it cannot they cannot be detected, and when they are picked up, it says the drivers are incorrect, which they are not.

Any ideas? Ta :)

Silly thoughts, but did you plug in the adapter BEFORE you instaled the drivers?

A lot of USB harwdare does not like that.

Anyway, unplug the adapter, and then install the drivers ( If there is a program to install them that is ) and then plug the adapter in when it asks you to.

Also, if you can, try forcing the drivers on... Install both drivers for both adapters in this way and then try unplugging them and then plugging them back in ( one by one )

Also another thing that can sometimes kick them into action, is while they are plugged in, go to the device manager and uninstalling the drivers, and then selecting search for new hardware... That sometimes gets windows to re-install the drivers, but even though it didnt like them before, it might do this time?

Thats worked a treat on some hardware I have and in fact on a few things thats the only way I can get them in???
