I would say netgear really, I setup an edimax for a customer a few weeks ago and their wifi manager looked horrid, worked ok i guess but I usually prefer to let windows take controll of the wifi and leave out these brand made managers. I've noticed netgear give you the choice at the end of the install which you prefer to use. I also hear a lot of good comments about TP-link so they seems to be the better of the cheaper brands.
I used to use 3com myself but HP took them over so that tarnished it for me. I would now personally go for either Asus or Linksys. But really under the plastic your buying either a ralkink, atheros, realtek and so on.
