Hi all, just wondering if its possible to do this? I currently have my PC upstairs in a little 'study' room. I have a nice big 42" HD plasma downstrairs in the lounge and surround sound setup.

Ideally Id like to play games downstairs, and maybe browse the net if possible. Is there a method of doing this wirelessly? Im sure there must be a kind of wireless video transmitter? Any recommendations, and if anyone is currently using something like this, is it possible to play games or is there too much lag?

Thanks.

Yes there are wireless video transmitter available, I've use one of those but they are for TV signal via coaxial video / audio cables, which is not capable of delivering PC quality images, plus everytime when someone turn on wireless router the video goes all fuzzy.

Same probably goes for audio transmitter. The technologies do exist for what you are trying to achieve but for the price of those technologies you are probably better off getting a seperate media PC in your lounge, which can share files with the PC upstairs via wireless LAN.

Hi

Yes there are such devices but they do suffer from incredle lag issues and wouldnt suit any form of fast paced gaming as youd be a few ms behind the other players! How far away is the computer from this screen, it might be possible to run run a cable to it using a HDMI/VGA Amp to increase the signal strength half way.

I use 2 wifi devices for transfering HD quality images to video screens for our disco use, but the output from the computers audio is delayed by a few ms to keep the audio in sync with the video streams! I really cant see this working for gaming. Also you get a LOT of interference and the higher the resolution the bigger the ms gap between the signals.
