Wireless vs Bluetooth for Keyboard/Mouse?

I've finally bought a new laptop (the valves in my last one were wearing out ) and will be doing a lot of gaming on it. Obviously touchpad is a no-no so I was thinking about going wireless.

It's a blinged up xps 1710 with a v. nice 17" screen so I was tempted to get a wireless keyboard as well as mouse so I can sit a little farther away.

Trying to decide whether to go wireless or bluetooth (you know what I mean ) Now I use a Logitech mx518 on my main rig so it has to be good (love my shooters!)

Any suggestions/anecdotes would be most appreciated, and something with a cradle would be nice - hate having to swap batteries!

To be perfectly honest, if you're really into gaming you'll be better off with a wired keyboard and mouse.

My personal choice would be a Saitek Eclispe and Razer Copperhead.

I may well just get another mx518 (never like the Razor mice and a mate had horrendous issues with his dropping out randomly) - but since the lappy has bluetooth I would be interested to see if anyone out there can recommend it - would be nice to have "remote control" over it for movies etc...

hey iv been gaming for over 10 years my self, wireless would be fine for gaming, ppl just seem to think like the old crt vs lcd for gaming issue when really both do the same job. wireless or bluetooth im not sure, id go with wireless
