I hope someone here can help because I'm completely confused. I'm with Be and have been for a couple of years now so I have one of the original Speedtouch 780wl's (running the latest Be firmware)
I have a Toshiba Tecra A4 running Ubuntu (Karmic), an Asus Eee PC running Windows XP (SP3 & latest drivers), a Roku Soundbridge M1001, and my Wii that normally connect via wireless.
For the last three weeks none of the above will connect to the wireless network even if they are in the same room as the router. I emailed Be support and they suggested that I change the SSID which I tried and it has made no difference. I've also tried changing the channels, resetting the router to factory defaults, and changing the encryption type.
They also suggested turning off the encryption, connecting devices, and then turning the encryption back on again. All the devices connected when there was no encryption but wouldn't reconnect when I turned the encryption back on. Be support are claiming this is a wireless driver issue but I don't see how the wireless drivers of 4 completely different devices could all get FUBAR'd in the last three weeks.
Does anyone have any bright ideas?
For the moment I am running without encryption but using MAC filtering. Is that secure enough until I sort out whatever is causing this?
Thanks for reading...
