Hi guys,

I've got a wireless usb xbox adaptor and which I bought in a pack with a controller. I've since gotten rid of the controller (white) and I now have 2 black ones. How do I connect one of my black ones to my adaptor?

Atm, every time I try and connect (in Windows) I turn my 360 on :D

i think you have to press 2 buttons on the controller or something on the adapter to put it into pairing mode to pair with a new controller or to move controller from console to console or in your case PC... not too sure the exact process though

There is a round button on the wireless receiver and a small round button near the "LB button" on the xbox controller pad, you have to press both of them to make them "See" each other. Circular light ring on the controller and the LED indicator on the wireless receiver will flash on and off for a short time and then will stop.

what he said :D

And with that will I need to make sure that my 360 is physically unplugged?

That's a point too; will doing this mean that my controller will be 'tied' to windows instead of the xbox

Yep xbox will ave nothing to do with it as long as you are connected to the wireless receiver.
When you want to connect the controller back to the xbox just press the round button near the memory card slot in the xbox along with the small round button near the "LB" button in the pad.
Basically you have to tell the pad, which wireless base to use - either the wireless receiver connected to the PC or the one bulit in the XBOX.
