Hey

I have been having a problem with my desktop, its a home build, and has a basic pci n wireless network card. Also on be using a belking n router.

The problem i am having is my desktop connections keeps dropping, and now im starting to think could hdmi, speaker cables etc interfere with the wireless connection?
The card i use has two antenna is there a is there a certain position to get 100% performance??
Now my laptop / phone do not have any problems.

cheers in advance
Damo,

You might get better results if the antenna attached to your wireless PCI card are moved away from the computer case by means of a short extension cable. You can buy antenna that have little stands that you can mount in the optimum location. Still wont be as good as wired or homeplug solutions though.

You can also try a different wireless channel. See which channels other devices use in your area and use the one which is least populated. Use Channels 1, 6 or 11.
