For my mums birthday present i have bought her a new CD player for her car :) costing 75 quid.. Are there any guides on Wiring it? I'm fairly familiar with wiring hi-fi speakers in phase etc because i do a lot of music tech stuff :). Is it much different from wiring up a Hi-fi? :)

Look at the sticker on the current set, look at the sticker on the new set, and if the plugs don't transfer straight across, then get your soldering iron out and put 2 and 2 together.

It's fairly simple.
Red wire is to permanent live, yellow to the switched live.
Black to earth. Then speakers + and -
There will be other wires which you are unlikely to need to connect unless you need to use an amp.
It will all be in the instruction manual.

The easiest way if you don't want to cut wires is to buy an ISO cable for whatever car it is. They cost £10-£15 in halfords or £3+ on the auction site.
