Since VM decided to mess up my net connection i made the decision to switch over to ADSL, my flat has a BT line which will be made active next week.
However...the previous owners took out the master socket and left only the junction box (pictured below). BT are telling me that it'll cost £125 to send over an engineer to hook up a new one which i think it a total rip off and doesn't look all that difficult.
The junction box has 2 active cables which i believe are the A and B cables, whilst the others are inactive, i believe it's just a case of buying a new cable and inserting them into the punch down connections on the junction box, and then into the corresponding connectors within a new master socket.
Any advice would be most welcome.
