Wiring a USB socket to the motherboard

I've bought a couple of USB 2.0 A Type Line Sockets from Maplin and want to connect them to an Acer Revo motherboard. The mobo already has pins for a small double USB and power switch board. I want to connect the two USB sockets I've bought to the pins on the mobo but I don't know how to identify where the connectors should go. I've had a look at the existing board but because it's multi-layered I can't follow it. I've got a couple of photos which I've labelled - I wonder if someone with a better grasp of these things could help me identify what should connect with what. I already know that 13 and 14 are the power switch (I also think 6 and 7 are also to do with the power switch but it seems to operate with just 13 and 14 being connected). Thanks

If you could list your motherboard, a quick google should turn up the manual which is bound to contain diagrams with all the connectors.

On the USB connector itself the middle 2 are the data pins and the outside 1 on each side + and - 5v.

Usually on those FP connections pins 1 and 8 as per the picture would be +5v, the 2 data pins 2-3 and 9-10 then ground 4-11 (i.e. you've got 2x USB connections with 1(5v),2(data-),3(data+),4(ground) making up one side). But you'd have to work out the orientation, etc. and double check those.

(I think D on the line socket is +5v but don't quote me on that or take my word for it lol).

EDIT: Is that a FP connector with USB though or just power, reset and HDD, power lights + buzzer connections?

Thanks, that sounds promising. I'll get my multimeter out and check the + -. 13 + 14 are for the power switch and I believe (although haven't tested yet) that 6 + 7 are for the power LED).
