I have a wii. It's sat under the tv for a couple years and not really been used that much bar the iplayer which is finally, supposedly, being fixed.
Anyway, its wireless is poo (always has been) with speed-test showing pings of 200 and throughput of 1.5 mbps, my line is 11.5 while sitting 10 feet from the router. A quick google shows plenty of other achieving b like speed thanks to its wireless card.
What I'd like to know is how much of a difference is there, speed/ping wise, using an ethernet connection (courtesy of the "lan" adapter), and why there isn't an ehternet port built into the dam machine. Anyone got their wii wired into the lan and fancy sharing their experience?
