so need a new one, prefer something to go in a pci slot but not really that fussed aslong as its hassle free

thanks in advance

Hi there,

Have you tried the card in your new windows 7 system? I had a Belkin USB wireless adapter that failed to work on vista (no vista drivers) but when I put it in my new windows 7 system it worked right away.

If it doesn't work, I suggest looking at this - a nicely featured card at a good price, and I have used many edimax wireless cards and they have all been excellent.

Out of interest, those who are using the Edimax on Windows 7 64bit, where did you get the drivers? Edimax's site? Windows update?

There may well be some on the disk or the web - but I have no clue.

I simply plugged it in when I turned on my PC for the first time, it was recognised by windows before the Windows install was even finalised and I was able to go online as soon as it booted up.

I believe I later updated the drivers via Windows update, it was all rather painless.
