I have a Linksys wireless router, i have WPA2 Personal security enabled.
I have my WPA password.

What is to stop someone getting a wireless laptop near my router getting into the '192.168.1.1' setup facility and getting my password as its plainly written on the Wireless security screen.

the wpa security itself should be enabled for all ips over wireless even 192.168.1.1
ontop of that you should have a router password?

wired ethernet clearly will bypass the wpa but the router password will still be in effect

Ah, i have to actually be connected to the wireless router via hard connection or wireless to actually be able to get onto the 192.168.1.1 address.

Doh!

Whats the router password? I have the default 'admin' password to get into the address but im not sure how to change that.

They would need to be on your network to do that.
Thus they would need to crack WPA2 or guess your WPA2 password.
