I am trying to use a wireless access point that a friend has supplied to connect to their BTHomeHub2 but am having problems.

Basically what type of connection do I use

AP
Station-Ad Hoc
Station-Infrastructure
AP Bridge-Point to Point
AP Bridge-Point to Multi-point
AP Bridge-WDS
Universal Repeater

CHeers for any help

You want the AP to connect to their HomeHub? You'll want it to work as a wireless client, which might be what "Station - Infrastructure" might represent.
Definitely not AP anything.

Yes I want this device to connect to the homehub using the wireless opyion only, to allow other deivec to connect thru the deivce I'm installing.

House is really big thats the reason.

Right this has been doing my head in.

No matter what I do I cant get it to connect to my wireless network (testing it at home). When I set it to scan for networks it finds it and then I select connect, but it does not ask me for the WPA2 Key to enable it to connect. Should this be the case?

The next method I'm going to try is to use a HomePlug sysmtem to connect the Access Point directly to the Router and see if that works.

Has anyone else had success in setting up one of these things?

Cheers

Unless set otherwise, it won't accept new devices unless it is in registering mode.
You can enter this mode which lasts a short time or turn it off so that the HH will always accept new devices (with the correct key).

Right will test that, but at the mo I'm using my own router and that does not have a 'registerong' feature tha t I know of.
