I've entered photos in lots of camera club competitions for fun, with mixed results. But now I'm in one at my local club in Maidenhead with a prize that's really worth having...

The judge is Marc Aspland, the staff photographer for The Times.

The prize for first place is to go shooting with him for a day. At a major sporting event. Press pass and kit provided.

I *so* want to win this one.

The competition closed last night (it was only open to club members).

I don't know how long the judging will take. Can't wait.

Mine are the two with titles three times the length of any other (A sports journalist gives their picture a caption, not a title...)

Thanks. I think that "Henry's crew" is serious competition when you look at the full resolution to see the faces. Marc likes atmospheric shots like "Early Morning Training" or "Morning Row".

I reckon the 2 best are the Alan Durand cricket one (great timing and compostition) and Henry's crew (nicely framed).
