Hi everybody, I was reading a lot in different forums about best bios versions for P5Q Deluxe, and little bit confused. A have OC my E8500 to 4Ghz on 1.26V on CPU, but I still using 1406 bios version. Anybody have issues with newest Bios, do I better install newer bios version or stick with old one ?

Thanks.

Stick with what you got unless your getting problems which is coursed by your current BIOS.

I ran on 0806 for ages and have only just recently moved to 1406. Unless people report good things about it or you're trying to fix a particular problem then stick with what you have. 1406 is supposed to be the best, there is a 2001 version but I've not seen many reports good or bad about it.

Just asking because, normally if you do OC , first thing you upgrade you Bios, in this case I just ignored that. System is stable on 4Ghz, max temperature on OCCT for 1hr 49C, idle 29C. Air cooling. I just stick with 1406 Bios then.

:D You are right, but I was spending some time with some skause… probably that why I pretending some mistakes in writing… You are very strickt on mistakes , I would like to see you writing in Lithuanian language…

Aye, but thankfully the www is primarily written in something approximating English (which, strict, otherwise you're doing well)

1406 seems to be the favorite. I'm on the latest, but for no good reason beyond I like flashing bios'. Xtreme systems have some custom ones that are very loved, they do good things for memory compatibility. May as well stick with the current, 4ghz is enough really :)

Im still running 0803, which is a very early bios version, never had any issues with it so ill probably stick with it.
