looking to get a 22" screen, 1680 x 1050. Which card to play te latest games at max settings.

ATI x2900xt GDD4 1 GB or Nvida 8800 GTS 640 MB

Get the GTS, 2900 1gb is a waste of cash, the 512mb 2900 is way better value, note the GTX only comes with a one year warranty, if that bothers you at all.

Probably, nothing uses 1GB though. It's just a gimmick as far as most are concerned. I'd go for the GTX if you can afford a 1GB 2900.

Doesnt make much if any difference at all in gaming, look up some benchmarks and its basicly on par with the 2900512mb version and especialy at your rez.

Does that look similar to the inside of your case? If so, what are the measurements from the PCI-E slot to the hard drive cage?

Definately the GTX over the 1gb 2900, or if you do want the 2900, then get the 512mb version as its just the same at that res, and its faster than the GTS, but are you sure the GTX wont fit in that case, just had a look and it looks like its got plenty of room in there for one, just measure to see if you have 275mm, and if it fits get that, blows the 2900's away, its on another level, also as said its cheaper, the 2900's are competing with the GTS not the GTX.

Normally if i take the HDD bay out and place it in the Front DVD slots should be ok. I hope so i'll think be going for the GTX. Thanks for the advise.
