Yea sorry OP, I didn't really add anything constructive, but sounds like you made the right choice

I thought the 6950's couldn't be unlocked anymore ever since the revision two boards without the bios switch. or is it just a case now of flashing to a 6970 without that backup bios in case things go wrong.
