I go to examine the crime scene and there is an instance two guards attack myself but I am unable to kill them because their health bar disappears and drops to empty but they remain alive? I've tried the repair option in Gog etc but nothing works. I've searched Google etc but nobody else seems to have had this issue?

I might have to start the quest again but one thing I have noticed about this game is the amount of times I am running through an area where I have killed a few opponents, the crowd start still start screaming and jeering when there is nobody there. Gerald still behaves as though there is?
