Sounds like this is better on PS5 as the PC version is juddery and bugged

Downloaded the updated copy and my saves are not showing.
I’m not sure I can face starting this game again from the start.
It mentions using GOG to transfer saves but it seems like a lot of hassle when really the PS5 system should just let you transfer your save over.
It also does not confirm if this is only version 4.0 saves that will transfer between platforms or past saves on older patches.

Performance mode is showing as 60fps on my TV but feels awful compared Ragnarok. Does not feel smooth at all.
The game is 7 years old give it a break lol
Man, just starting the crows perch / crones part of the story. Such a great great game. Sort of just wandering off and exploring the “?” On the map at the moment.
I can’t believe how beautiful it looks when riding through fields with the sun setting - has the game always been this densely lush with vegetation !?
I swear the game was pretty barren on ps4…

I haven’t read up on it but if it’s anything like GTA5 then it’ll be the PC version which has more vegetation, NPC’s and vehicles. All paired back to get it running on PS4.
I see. So it is more dense. The forests feel like forests now.
Had one or two frame drops in about 15 hours but so far it’s been rock solid for me.
Looking forward to finishing up work today and firing it up ! Been a while since I’ve looked forward to playing a game.

I was playing Ghost of Tsushima before I started this on performance and its a nice looking game, but I just can't seem to get into it now and Ghosts being so smooth, the gameplay in Witcher feels a little janky, even on performance, but appreciate its an older game. Pleased I completed it already though.

Ah ok, anyway I’ve completed it before on ps4, so not to bothered about another playthrough.
I've started to replay this with the next gen update, and although it looks amazing, the combat jankiness is putting me off. Having completed it years ago and the DLC was really going to get back into it but not sure I can, may perservere as I know how good the game is! Or I could try Cyberpunk....hows that doing these days?
Downloaded the update for the PS5 but I thought it would simply be an update, not a whole new product with a whole new set of trophies. It seems I can either switch over to using the updated version using my save from the cloud (currently in Skellige) but have no trophies, or play the older version from where I left off.
