What's happened to this? I've been waiting months to continue my Witcher game - I only got to chapter 2, then heard about this so I thought that I may as well wait for the update rather than keep ploughing on with the game!

Bought this game when it came out at near-RRP, and by the time I got round to installing it they had already announced the Enhanced Edition, so decided to hold out before starting. Wish I hadn't bought it at launch now, all Atari games I buy turn out sour :(

You wont be disapointed when you do play it, I got about half way thought before I had to stop playing because of work. Im waiting for the new one now before I finish it.

I really do admire the developers for making this decision. They really have very little to gain other than a better reputation from this, the game price will have already plummited due to an unpopular release so i imagine profits from this will be slim compared to a full launch.

I only got to act 3 in the original version, i'll be replaying the game when this comes out.

On the contrary, I think it makes good financial sense, since it's sort of like re-releasing the game at full price whereas by now it'll be selling for bargain-bin prices, this time benefiting from the good reviews it got the first time round.
The studio are doing work-for-hire now I think, the Polish localised version of Age of Conan, as well as the Witcher browser game.

It'll also run a lot smoother now that some people have upgraded their hardware. Can't wait to play with ridiculous settings and 12x CFAA without dropping to 15-20 or so fps now :)

There was a clip on fileplanet it said September, so im just waiting till then so i can replay the game, i also got up to chapter 3 before i stopped playing, the long loading times were getting annoying.

I think they did quite well financially out of The Witcher. Stayed in the top 10 over here for a long time, and I believe it sold by the bucket load in Poland.

I don't normally like RPGs but The Witcher was one of the best games I've ever played. Just astouningly good.

Now I have a 4870 I'll be glad to play thruogh it all again with a card that can handle the improved graphics.

Dont think they improved the graphics necessarily in the enhanced edition. I thought they optimized the engine more, reduced loading times etc. So it should run even better on your system.

I stopped playing it due to the upgrade patch as I was really enjoying the game. To fill the hole I've been watching the witcher film which is not bad and got the 13 episodes to watch.
