Just installed the game on my newly built pc and it hasnt installed the game in to my "All Programs", infact it is nowhere to be seen, but when I go into the disc's autorun and the menu comes up "Launch Game" i click it and all i get is a "The witcher stopped working" message...

infact it comes up in the program files (x86) folder

any ideas whats up? :confused:

im getting the latest patch atm

edit::(
not to worry, the patch fixed it, altho it crashed after about 5 minutes into the opening cutscene :(

Presumably you are running Vista. If so open up the Games explorer and the Witcher shortcut should be in there.

Alternatively Just browse to the executable in the Program Files area and run witcher-MCE.exe

Make sure you run it as an administrator too. Are other games running ok? If it's a brand new build you might have general issues.

hi, crysis and bioshock are running absolutely seamlessly, witcher was running well for about 20 minutes then it came up "the witcher has stopped working" again... i ll try run as administrator again and I found it in the games folder, thats probably down to me just getting used to vista :P
