Hi all

So been running my set up really smoothly this past couple of months and was wondering about one little thing in my case. I have a Bitfenix prodigy case and with it being the size it is i got a large 200mm fan for the front to push air through the entire case and keep things cool.

I dont overclock my Gtx 970 gpu or my xeon 1230 v3. Attached to the cpu is a corsair h80i water cooling block.
Xeons alone dont push that much heat so its a bit of over kill really.

Long story short do i actually need the large fan at the front or is it necessary in keeping things cooled and smooth? Il try upload pictures if i can and yes i cannot cable manage for my life lolol

Run an Asus RealBench (for example) and use HWINFO64 to see what max temps you are getting on load. Then unplug the 200mm fan and test again. That way you can see for yourself. By all means post pics and results. :)

The CPU temp may not see any difference as it's on water. But possibly motherboard temps and to a slight extent GPU temp may see a little improvement. And of course your SSD/HDDs as they'll be beside the large fan unless you've tucked them somewhere else.
